Our Director General of Food Control, Prof. Dr. İrfan EROL, Visited Medicavet.

A congratulatory visit to Medicavet, the first company to receive a GMP certificate from the Ministry in Turkey.

During the congratulatory visit by our Director General Prof. Dr. İrfan EROL and our Head of Department Dr. Semra YILMAZ, the contributions the GMP certificate will bring to our sector were discussed. At the meeting, Dr. Semra YILMAZ, who also emphasized the country's determination regarding its PIC membership, stressed that serious steps were being taken by the Ministry on this matter.

During the visit to our Ministry, our General Manager Mr. Barış YILMAZ, our Technical Manager Ms. Ronak YILMAZ, our Factory Manager Ahmet KARAKAŞ, and our Quality Assurance Manager Ms. Figen ÜNLÜTABAK accompanied them.

Our Factory Manager Mr. Ahmet KARAKAŞ informed our visitors about how GMP standards are applied at every stage, from raw material to finished product. In her presentation, our Quality Assurance Manager Ms. Figen ÜNLÜTABAK spoke about the Tübitak and other R&D projects carried out by our company. The plans of Medicavet, which aims to obtain the TURQUALITY certificate in 2015 — a first in our sector — and thereby export to 40 countries, were also explained. In the meeting, where it was emphasized that the transition to GMP certification is a teamwork effort to raise the quality bar of our sector, the importance of everyone cooperating on this matter was discussed.

In these very cordial meetings, we as Medicavet thanked all of our Ministry staff who contributed, for paving the way for our sector through their determination in the transition to GMP standards.
